Bryan Cross, CFA
Bryan Cross is a 20 year Wall Street Quant who has spent time on both the sell side and the buy side.
Bryan started his career at UBS Investment Bank on the Quant Trading team where he focused on Automated ETF Market Making and Portfolio Risk. He, subsequently, worked on the Prop Trading team and then UBS O'Connor doing Event Driven and Concentrated Fundamental Investing. Bryan then ran the Systematic Research team and UBS Asset Management focusing on the manufacturing of a proprietary Equity alpha signal. Bryan capped off his time at UBS founding and running the innovative Quantitative Evidence and Data Science (QED) team which was focused on driving data and science into the Investment process across the entire firm. While at UBS AM, Bryan also ran the Global Graduate Trainee program for Investments where he devised curriculum and rotational policies for the firm.
Bryan is an expert Python programmer and is also fluent in the probabilistic programming language Stan. Bryan's research interests include using data for create probabilistic fundamental valuations and using hierarchical models to fill in missing data.
Bryan received a BS in Economics and an MS in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago and has earned the right to use the CFA designation.
